Home as Place of Rituals / Do not disturb! / Home Zone
Kubátová, Veronika ; Baráčková, Daniela (referee) ; Artamonov, Vasil (advisor)
I have been dealing with the themes of prefabricated houses and housing estates until recently. I was especially interested in their aesthetics. Order, grid and certain regularity and repeatability. At the same time, I was always interested in his social connotations, mainly because I live in these places. Gradually I became more interested in topics related to my own home. So I moved from the general themes to my own experience. But what is my home? Home is a place of utmost importance in our society. Home is made up of people, family. People have it associated with many rituals that accompany their lives often without actually being considered for them. Thanks to these rituals, we manage, among other things, the everyday influx of positive and negative influences of the surroundings and deal with them in various ways. Morning coffee, brushing your teeth, lighting a candle, wiping dust, filling a bath, scattering water on flowers, etc. Balance is the key to everything we do. And I would like to analyze, document and process these home and personal rituals in this work. The final thesis will consist of a free series of paintings with possible interventions and overlaps into video or installation, etc.

Smart Task Planner

The diploma thesis "Knowledge about healthy food and eating habits of teachers in the selected schools" aimed to find out the nutritional knowledge of teachers at selected primary and secondary schools and also find out how much do they follow the basic principles of healthy nutritions during their working days. The research for my diploma thesis was carried out using a questionnaire survey, in which two hundred and forty one teachers of selected primary and secondary schools participated. .All the schools that I selected for the questionnaire survey are located in Kladno, the most populous city in the Central Bohemian region. The questionnaire survey was devided into three parts - to identify the teachers, their knowledge and their eating habbits. The results of the research were good - the overall success rate of all respondents was 63.3%. Primary school teachers fared slightly better than secondary school teachers. According to predetermined criteria, teachers pay attention to the principles of a healthy diet only exceptionally. Secondary school teachers fared significantly better in this section. The last question dealt with teachers' needs. It would help the teachers the most to extend the break so that the teachers have more time to have a snack or replenish fluids. They also showed an...
Green purchasing: Case of Bottled Water Consumption in the Czech Republic
Hanusová, Klára ; Ščasný, Milan (advisor) ; Opatrný, Matěj (referee)
To tackle various environmental issues, many of which stem from unsustainable consumer behavior, policymakers make an effort to transition toward a circular economy. One of the initiatives in the Czech Republic includes a reduction in single-use plastic waste. An example of this waste category are plastic bottles used for beverage packaging. Consequently, this thesis aims to uncover the determinants of bottled water consumption in the Czech Republic, as a similar study does not appear to exist in this context. Data (n=3 411) used for the analysis are obtained from a survey "TAČR Kohoutková". Methods used include estimation by Generalized Ordered Logit and Multinomial Logit. Results uncover socio-demographic characteristics, taste, health reasons, constructs from the Theory of Planned Behavior, and habits as predictors of bottled water consumption. It was found that highly educated people and those with a strong habit of drinking tap water are less likely to consume bottled water. The main consumers of this product appear to be those who negatively perceive tap water taste and healthiness, or positively perceive such characteristics of bottled water. On contrary, there is not enough evidence for identifying a relationship between environmental values and bottled water intake.

There are new traditions raising in recent years and also some of the old ones are beeing revived. The aim of this thesis is to discover and note the traditions, which were held in the past and also the traditions that are new. Then there is a list of concrete traditions split into groups by its type - from the historical traditions based on folk and christian holidays to the modern ones.
